Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day Here in Midtown!

Everyone’s a little Irish on St. Patrick’s Day and Midtown is full of opportunities to celebrate during one of New York City’s largest and oldest annual events.

The Grand Central neighborhood will, once again, be awash in green on Sunday, March 17, as crowds line the parade route (It steps off at 11 am from Fifth Avenue and 44th Street.) to cheer their Gaelic pride. Here too, there are many a restaurant or pub for paradegoers, and their friends to enjoy themselves pre- or post-parade! Below are a few neighborhood suggestions that may well gift you with the (good!) luck of the Irish!:

Annie Moore’s (50 East 43rd Street, between Vanderbilt and Madison Avenues – 212-986-7826)

All BR Guest restaurants (except Strip House and Ruby Foo’s), including Dos Caminos – Third Avenue (825 Third Avenue, corner of 50th Street – 212-336-5400), will offer St. Patrick’s Day specials, with Dos serving special Corned Beef and Cabbage Tacos! Le Relais de Venise L’Entrecôte (590 Lexington Avenue at 52nd Street – 212-758-3989) is right near all the parade action. Stop by for their hearty meal, delicious desserts and jovial atmosphere that will make the perfect completion of your celebration.

Public House New York (140 East 40th Street, between Lexington and Third Avenues – 212-682-3710) is also a Grand Gourmet 2013 participant, and is celebrating “Corporate St. Patty’s Day” on Friday, March 15 for all the neighborhood workers who won’t be in the area on the actual day, Sunday, March 17. Come in and enjoy drink and food specials, raffles and live music all day!
